Kelson Custom Cycles Announces Launch of New Bicycle
Revolutionary design excels on road and gravel—one bike for both surfaces
ASHTON, IDAHO — August 15, 2016 — Kelson Custom Cycles announces launcing of DNA, aka Quiver Killer, a bicycle designed to excel on both road and off-road surfaces. Using innovative in-house design, tooling and manufacture, DNA is unique among bicycles currently offered. Kelson Custom Cycles designed DNA for cyclists interested in mixed-surface racing and riding.
Product Origins—“If you could only own one bike, what would it be?” said Williams, founder of Kelson Custom Cycles. Mixed-surface cycling races that require riders to navigate both asphalt and gravel are rapidly gaining popularity, such as Crusher in the Tushar, the premier mixed-surface race in the western United States.
Selecting the best performing bike for these races has proven difficult. Whether racers choose a road bike or a gravel bike, “At some point in the race, you’re going to hate your bike,” T. Burke Swindlehurst, Director and Founder of Crusher, said.
Williams designed DNA in response to the needs of these riders. DNA enables racers to love the bike from start to finish whatever the surface, whether racing competitively or enjoying an evening club ride.
Product Details—DNA employs the front-end geometry of a road bike, affording high-speed stability and effortless cornering on asphalt. Its rear-end geometry mirrors that of a cyclocross bike and features disk brakes, so that riders can speed over uneven terrain and feel secure on steep gravel descents. DNA’s unique design allows riders to change between road wheels and cyclocross wheels on a single carbon fiber frame.
Availability—DNA will be available for order August 1st, 2016. As with all of Williams’ builds, DNA will be built to the precise specifications of each individual rider.
