The first step is to call give us a call so we can find out more about you, your bike riding style, and what you want your dream bike to help you accomplish. Next, we’ll need to get your measurements so we can sync your bike with your body. That’s enough to get us working on your frame, while we do that, you’ve got a window of time to decide on components and a paint scheme. We’ll send you updates as your bike proceeds through the build process. Once your bike is ready, we can arrange to ship it to you, deliver it first hand, or you can come to Ashton, where we’ll treat you to some epic rides, guided fishing, and an overall great experience that will be the cherry on top of breaking in your new dream bike.

We love talking bikes so we’re stoked to chat with you by phone regarding your new ride. We’ll want to find out more about how you dream your new bike will perform and answer your questions about the build and purchase process. Your new bike is custom fit for you and only you. This requires an analysis of your riding history and goals. In the interview we’ll learn about any pain you many be experiencing while riding your current bike. Do you have back pain? Does your neck get sore? Do your knees hurt? Have you had any past injuries or chronic medical conditions? We can also help you decide what kind of geometry will best suit your riding style and help you reach your cycling goals. Additionally we can help you decide which materials to build your bike from.

STEP 2
DEPOSIT
Once your questions are answered, and we have the initial info we need, we can really get to work once we receive your deposit. An $800 deposit will add your order into our queue and will formalize our commitment to each other. Turn time for your Kelson bike is around 4-6 weeks. STEP 3
FITTING
In addition to the information we gather during the initial consultation, we’ll need some hard facts about your body. A measuring session will need to take place to identify your body geometry. This can be done at our shop or remotely by a qualified fitter. Our goal is to enhance your cycling experience by making you comfortable and efficient on your bike while catering to your personal preferences

STEP 4
THE BUILD
Using all the information we’ve gathered about you, we will begin the design process using CAD software to perfectly dial in every detail of your custom frame. A quality hand build frame must be carefully cut, mitered, jigged and aligned which takes time. We know that you are excited to get your hands on your new custom bike, so we’ll try to make the waiting process as painless as possible. You will receive constant up-to-date information on the status of your frame from the beginning consultation all the way to the final product. Frames are now being completed within 4-6 weeks.

STEP 5
COMPONENT SELECTION & FRAME FINISHING
While we are busy with the mechanics of your frame, you will have some time to decide on how you would like to finish your bike.

We can make suggestions for a component package and wheel set, but we’re happy to accommodate your special requests give the parts are available for us to purchase. [link to house component list] You should make your decision 2 weeks prior to our target completion date to allow us time for shipping.

Your custom bike comes with a custom look as well. Several house designs are ready for you to choose from. [link to house designs] The fastest, and possibly the classiest finish is bead blasted titanium. Alternatively, several house paint schemes are available to choose from in your choice of color. Powder-coating and custom designs are also possible but will require additional cost and will be bid individually based on your design.

STEP 6
DELIVERY AND FITTING
This is our favorite part! Delivery of you bike will be arranged on an individual basis. We do prefer to hand over the bike in person, which allows us to see your reaction and fit you to your new ride. Alternatively, shipping options are available or, we would love to help you plan a trip to come see us at our shop where we’re anxious to show you some of the epic rides in our area. World-class fishing, Yellowstone National Park, and beautiful scenery awaits you along with the best bike you will ever own here in Ashton. Of course, before we watch you ride into the sunset, we will ask for the bike to be paid for.
